Initializing Palestinian Bedouin Communities of Hebron Governorate to Endorse Women in political participation High Decision Making Positions.
Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR is implementing a project entitled ( Initializing Palestinian Bedouin Communities of Hebron Governorate to Endorse Women in political participation High Decision Making Positions) which is a part of Women empowerment in decision making positions program implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in partnership with Ministry of Local Government and Ministry of Women Affairs and non-governmental organizations and cooperatives in Bedouin and C areas.
- To highlight the role of Hebron women and their ability to seek and obtain high political and decision-making positions.
- To enhance women political participation and foster communication between local council’s members and decision-makers in the Palestinian ministry of local government, in order to initialize the Bedouin community on political participation for Bedouin women.
- To raise Bedouin women’s political role beside men and change the stereotyped image about women duties that live in marginalized areas in order to participate in the local councils.
Hebron governorate including towns and villages with municipalities. Also, Bedouin communities of small villages which are located in C area Southeast of Yatta south of Hebron governorate. These small communities are (Sussya ,Twaneh, Massafer Yatta ,Om Alkhair, KhashamAldraj, Alhathaleen, Al-Zoudeen, Alnjadah, Alka’abneh and Alfakeer).
