Roles for Social Change Association –ADWAR-RSCA has implemented a project entitled (Supporting women in access to business market through sweets business) which aims to raise the skills and capabilities of Bedouin women in the economic fields in order to enable them to take advantage of the resources available and to change the perspective of society and the culture of men, in particular, about the importance of the productive role of women and its impact on improving the economic reality of family and society
Women empowerment in terms of making popular sweets known in Hebron district , which acquires great demand within the market. It also aimed at training women to produce, package and sale sweets products in the labor market, which guarantees income to their families. In addition to that it reduces discrimination against women in labor market and enable them to access business market and transfer from the private sphere “family” to public sphere “labor market”. Furthermore, it increases women’s communication with social and economic surroundings through selling products for traders and local community.
- To improve Bedouin women skills and knowledge about making sweets.
- To encourage Bedouin women to create new entrepreneur projects which will help them improve their economic status.
- To Enhance Bedouin women participation in economic activities within Bedouin communities.
Project Target group:
Bedouin women from Khashem Aldarj and Om Alkhair Bedouin communities, whom socially excluded, lone parents or economically disadvantaged and Headed their family. Their ages between 20—45 years old, and live in C areas of Khashm AlDaraj and Om AlKhair.
Project Target areas:
Bedouin communities of Khashm AlDaraj and Om Alkhair , south of Hebron in which classified as (C) areas.
