ADWAR held the first radio episode entitled” social and political roles of Bedouin women in local community”

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR held the first radio episode entitled” social and political roles of Bedouin women in local community” in cooperation with Oroba media network. The episode was hosted by the journalist Hamzeh Siouri with the presence of Mr.Monther Jundi the representative of gender unit at the local governance directorate, and social specialist Suna Hneihen the representative of Women Center for Legal Aid and Counselling, as well as Sara Raghmaat from AlRamadin Bedouin community.
The episode aimed at raising awareness of Palestinian community in general and the Bedouin community in specific about the importance of Bedouin women roles in political fields and local Bedouin councils as well as decision making positions.
This awareness episode comes within the project (Increasing Women’s Political Participation Through Effective local election in Marginalized community) in partnership with the German Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The project is implemented in partnership with the Local Bedouin councils, Protection committees, Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and Ma’an Network.
This comes within the political program of ADWAR Association which contributes in developing women capacities in decision making positions at Bedouin C marginalized areas, located in Hebron and east Jerusalem.
