These performances are being implemented in Hebron, which aim to increase women, girls, men and boys’ awareness of women legal rights and break barriers to reach Family Courts.

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR continues implementing its theater performances within the project entitled (Protecting Women Legal Rights). These performances are being implemented in Hebron, which aim to increase women, girls, men and boys’ awareness of women legal rights and break barriers to reach Family Courts.

Today’s performance entitled (24 Qirat) was implemented in Mahawer Charitable Society in Hebron in partnership with Dreams drama group. This performance aimed to allow women and girls of old city in Hebron from breaking barriers, reach Family Courts and ask for their legal rights.
Moreover, the field coordinator of ADWAR, Lina Wahsh opened the meeting by introducing ADWAR’s role in increasing awareness about gender through enhancing women’s participation in economic, political and social fields. As well, she pointed out the importance of this project as it aimed to introduce services provided by Family Courts and its procedures in marriage, divorce, alimony, dowry, and inheritance rights.
As well, the director of Mahawer Charitable Society, Mr. Qais Da’na expressed how such a project is important for women and girls, and especially women and girls of the southern part of Hebron, in which they lack services. In addition he assured the importance of ADWAR’s roles in reaching women and girls who lack services and need to increase their awareness in their legal rights.
Besides, the head of women department of the society, Ms. Safa Mraish introduced women and girls’ conditions in the southern part of Hebron and the lack of services provided to them.
