A radio Episode entitled “Role of the Ministry of Education in supporting women in priority gatherings”.

On Thursday, in cooperation with Nisaa FM Radio, organized a radio episode about the Role of the Ministry of Education improving the reality of women in the priority communities – Ramallah governorate, in order to improve the reality of women in the Bedouin community in the Jaba area northeast of Jerusalem.
The workshop is part of the program “ADWAR accountable Decision-Makers on Their Role in Empowering Women in Bedouin Communities” within the framework of the project “Towards Women Who Make Change in Priority Communities and Make a Difference in Their Lives and the Lives of Others ” that is funded by the Dutch government and in partnership with local councils The Bedouin in Bethlehem and Ramallah and Nisaa FM Radio.
The project succeeded in activating the role of Bedouin women through the formation of women’s protection committees in these gatherings, launching initiatives to improve the reality of women in them, and establishing a leading women’s body capable of expressing the needs of Bedouin women.
The workshop focused on the Bedouin communities in the Jaba’ region, where the group faces challenges and obstacles that negatively affect the lives of women and the population, which requires the intervention of the relevant parties especially to improve education services and establish a kindergarten for children.
The representative of the ADWAR Association, and coordinator of the project Nour Manasra, during the radio interview, that all the Bedouin communities suffer from a lack of all services, where it does not have the simplest elements of human services simple to any human, and this shortage reflected negatively on women. “When ADWAR Association entered the communities, we found that women were struggling for any institution that met their needs, and we found that after the housing problem there was a need to provide education services in the absence of a kindergarten.
The main requirement of the Women’s Protection Committee in the group was to provide a kindergarten for the children of the community. About 30 children have to wait until the age of seven to have the opportunity to learn.
For his part, Director of the Audit and Planning Unit at the Ministry of Education’s Gender Unit, Tahseen Yassin, said that the Ministry of Education attaches special importance to the marginalized areas and Bedouin communities. An oasis of hope amidst the marginalization of the region.
He agreed during the workshop to follow up the establishment of a kindergarten to accommodate the children of the assembly, especially as the residents of the gathering have provided a place that needs rehabilitation and the necessary cadres..
