Dialogue meetings with decision makers between members of Women Protection Committee and the Municipality of Bani Na’im

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR inaugurated the second phase of dialogue meetings with decision-makers within the framework of the project “Digging the Voice Strategy for Bedouin Women Equal Rights” funded by the Government of Canada.
This meeting aims to strengthen communication between members of the Women’s Protection Committee and decision makers in Palestinian governmental institutions in order to open an opportunity for women to express their equal rights in Gender-based needs.
The meeting was attended by the mayor of Bani Na’im, Mr. Ali Manasra, in the presence of a member of the municipal council, Bassam Tarayreh, and the director of the municipality, Mohammed Hamidat, and the project coordinator, Lana Abu Ajamieh.
Women Protection Committee also expressed the problem of water access to the community. The Mayor discussed the mechanism of facilitating the access of water service to the residents of the community, and Implementing more projects, especially in the water sector, in order to provide water services at the required level for the residents of this vital area of the city of Bani Na’im.
Women Protection Committee also expressed the many needs of women in community , including services related to the distribution of water, electricity, paving roads and sanitation.
