Project Community movement for Bedouin women

Implemented in partnership with Bedouin and rural local councils, funded by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) within the framework of strengthen the civil society participation program (CPP).

Objectives
– Developing the knowledge and skill of young women and men in the most marginalized communities, in order to establish a youth body to advocate and pressure for Bedouin women and make social mobility to achieve women’s demands.
– Pressure and influence decision-makers in the “Ministry of Local Government” in order to activate the role of local councils in providing basic community services needs based on Gender perspective.
– Educating the Bedouin community about the importance of the role of women in active and responsible social participation and changing the stereotype about women’s roles.
Target Group
The project targeted the women in marginalized community and men who are influential in their local communities, which is located in the southeast of Yatta, south of Hebron Governorate (Umm Al-Khair, Al-Zwaiden, Al-Kaabana, Al-Najada Al-Faqir).
