Project Bedouin women protection committee to activate 1325 resolution in area C

Implemented in partnership with Ministry of Women Affairs MOWA, Colonization Wall Resistance Commission CWRC, The independent Commission for Human Rights ICHR, Bedouin Local Councils BLC and Maan media Agency, funded by United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women UN Women.

11/2016– 12/2016 

 Objectives
– To institutionalize one protection women committees, and improve Bedouin women capacity regarding observing and documenting violations in order to protect their rights and their families based on 1325.
ْ- To enhance “WPC” role in supporting 2000 marginalized Bedouin women and their families’ needs through documentation of violations and the referral system procedures to access legal aid, and services from Palestinian state organizations. As well as demand their rights as basic human rights.
– Fostering Bedouin women participation in advocacy campaigns to influence decision makers in Palestinian and international organizations, in order to take their responsibilities and protect women from political violence. 

 Target Group
The project targeted Bedouin women in the southeast of Hebron Bedouin communities in Um AlKhair.
