Workshop “The importance of elections and democratic participation”

Within the civil society project for democracy and participation, today, Wednesday, 10/28/2020, the Palestinian Center for Peace and Democracy Issues conducted a workshop on the importance of elections in cooperation with ADWAR Association, where the workshop discussed, after introducing who we are, a discussion about the concept of elections and democratic participation and the most important differences between a civil state and a political state and the importance of Local bodies in strengthening the steadfastness of the citizen and how do we demand the holding of local council elections before 5/13/2021, which is the legal period for elections for local bodies in Palestine, after which the conditions for candidacy and election were discussed and the workshop concluded with a discussion on the importance of youth participation in the elections due to the necessity of their presence in decision-making positions.
