“Empowering women and supporting their resilience during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the West Bank – Palestine” Project

ADWAR Association starts the implementation of Project “Empowering women and supporting their resilience during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the West Bank – Palestine”, that aims to empower the economic conditions of the vulnerable women and young women affected by the COVID-19 crisis by providing cash assistant for work to grantee reaching to social protection in the West bank.
The project targets women and young women from all West Bank governorates whether a city, village, camp, area C, who have been greatly affected by the Coronavirus crisis, especially, women who head families and young women who have been left or abandoned from the work sector due to the crisis.
For her part, the General Director, Dr. Sahar Al-kawasmeh said that the importance of the project stems from the fact that it provides a quick response as it helps women who have been affected by the crisis, as it provides them with various humanitarian needs and contributes to protecting them from violence and enhancing their economic participation.
This project comes in partnership with Red Crescent Society For Gaza Strip and United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, Funded by the government of Japan.
