The values of the Association

The regulating values and pillars of our work are a reference for our decisions, partnerships and behavior.
 
Human Rights-Based Approach: ADWAR adopts the approach of human rights principles of participation, accountability, non-discrimination, transparency, human dignity, empowerment and rule of law in our work. These principles apply to the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects, in order to improve targeting, efficiency, effectiveness and ensure the quality of results.
 
Rights-based approach: ADWAR focus on recruiting women, activists, and community activists to demand their violated rights from the responsible holders, whether they were rights related to access to justice or services provided to all women or influencing policies and legislation that discriminate between men and women. ADWAR will work on developing the programs and our partnership to build the capacities of rights holders and achieve awareness of rights for women, girls and society.
 
Teamwork: ADWAR employ the spirit and strength of teamwork in our work among all our staff and members and with partners to achieve the agreed results.
 
Transparency and Accountability: ADWAR will release and publish everything related to our work, including strategies, projects, budgets, internal regulations and work reports to all stakeholders.
 
Honesty and Professionalism: meaning honesty of words and conforming words to action and reality, matching work with saying and decisions. ADWAR will strive to enhance the preservation of ADWAR association’s documents, data and information by the executive staff, and to only allow others to see them after informing the Board of Directors, the senior executive management about it. Also confirm the approval of the Board of Directors and the executive staff on the principles of the Code of Conduct that regulates work ethics and prevents conflicts of interest.
 
Respect for Different Opinions: ADWAR is committed to conducting respectful conversations, listening to each other’s’ opinions, and having a place for different opinions and criticism by members of the General Assembly, Board of Directors and the Executive Staff, because everyone is keen on our performance to be distinguished and high-level with efficiency and professionalism.
 
Love, Civil peace, and Rejection of Violence and Extremism: ADWAR work on spreading the culture of love and eliminating ideological extremism and violence, by showing mutual respect between different people, as an original basis within the system and values of the Palestinian society and spreading the culture of tolerance and civil peace, rejecting grudges and excluding others, respecting freedoms and always looking forward building a civil society.
 
Participation and Partnership: ADWAR believes in the importance of promoting the broad participation of target groups and partner organizations in intervening with policies and programs, by involving them in planning, follow-up, implementation processes, and evaluation processes. Participation also means providing knowledge and information in full transparency to all target groups, and to enable these groups to participate in communicating their issues to those concerned.
