Roles Association: implement The first Stage of the " Right to Live" Project

 In partnership with Education Ministry and funding by UNDP , Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) ends the first stage "Males and Females Leaders Confirms on The Women Right of Live" project.

 The training program targeted 20 trainees ( 10 males / 10 females) from five schools in Hebron who they were qualified in Hebron Hall .

 The training program aimed to develop trainees' skills and knowledge about the right of live as a “holy" right which all divine religions, rules and Palestinian agreements adopted . The program also aimed to develop the student's skills in order to transfer their knowledge and skills to other students in the participating schools and families.

 The program was about confirmation on the women rights, in general, and women rights of life in particular. In addition, it includes raising awareness about the importance of the Human Rights and Sedaw Agreement.  

 The training program focused also on "gender" concept and the effective of society's culture on women's traditional role. In addition it confirmed on the importance of change the general stereotypes about " honor" which has a very grateful meanings.

 Knowledge and skills development was one of the program's results whereas the student's knowledge took a good way to be transferred from the program's leaders to other school's students including males and females as well.

Sahar Alkawasmeh, Roles Association general director, noted that “the training program accomplished great results especially with men who were controlled by the traditional stereotype of women's roles". “Cultural change, absolutely, needs hard and long effort which leads to social justice and changes the traditional culture", Alkawasmeh said.
