Accountability Meeting in Khallet Almaieh Community

‏ On Wednesday 16-11-2022 under ‘Towards effective Organized Community Participation that Ensures Improving the Services Reality’ project” ADWAR conducted a dialogue meeting between representatives of Women Protection Committee, Ministry of Economy, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khallet Al-Maya Municipality. The meeting object is to expand the channels of dialogue and accountability between decision makers and women committees in the Khallet Mayeh area and neighboring areas about their rights and demands in improving the reality of services provided for Women’s needs, specifically everything related to economic needs and supporting women’s projects individually and collectively. In addition, the meeting resulted in clarification from Ministry of Economy and Chambers of Commerce and Industry for their procedures and support to develop projects in marginalized areas.
At the end of the meeting, the Women’s Protection Committee handed over a paper of demands and recommendations from women to be taken into consideration in the ministries’ and other stakeholders’ programmers, plans and procedures.
This meeting build on previous meeting conducted by AWDWAR on 27-09-2022 between Women Protection Committee and Khallet Al-Maya Municipality to Women’s needs and the status of provided services that was assessed and discussed earlier through expanded meeting between ADWAR established Women Protection Committees, Unified Women Council, and Men’s Alliance to support women that was conducted in 10-09-2022 in Hebron City.
‘Towards effective Organized Community Participation that Ensures Improving the Services Reality’ project” aims to enhance the civic participation of Women in marginalized communities in Hebron Governorate for creating more engagement to make an impact in meeting gender needs.
‏The project is implemented by ADWAR in collaboration with Catholic Relief Service- CRS and Family Health International-fhi360 and funded by the United Stated Agency for International
development -USAID.
