Building Knowledge Sessions for men in Gaza

The ADWAR Association, in partnership with the Gender Forum in Local Government, implemented on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to 15-16/11/2022, two Building Knowledge Sessions for men in Gaza, where the sessions aimed at raising the ability of men, on how to defend and support women’s equal rights in Political participation, gender issues, and advocacy tools, as part of the project “We men are your allies in influencing and defending women’s rights.”, which aims to recruit men and youth and change their attitudes towards supporting Palestinian women in political participation in local governance, as one force through the formation of a men’s coalition that supports women’s participation in order to influence other men at the grassroots level and active local leadership, and raise public awareness about The importance of the participation of women in decision-making positions in local government by creating a state of public awareness at the grassroots level of local leaders and the need to consider them an essential and effective part of decision-making, as this project is implemented with direct support from the Canadian Feminist Fund.
