Dialogue Meeting in Der Al-Asal/ Dura – Hebron Governorate

On Sunday 27-11-2022 under ‘Towards effective Organized Community Participation that Ensures Improving the Services Reality’ project” ADWAR conducted a dialogue and accountability meeting between representatives of Women Protection Committee and decision makers from Ministry of Local Government, the village Local Council and group of Men from the local community.

The meeting aims to expand the channels of dialogue and accountability between decision makers and women committee in the Der Al-Asal area and neighboring areas about their rights and demands in improving the reality of services provided for Women’s needs, specifically issues related to the services provided by the local government in infrastructure such as rehabilitation and pavement of roads, garbage containers, community multipurpose hall, and other related issues.

At the end of the meeting, the Women’s Protection Committee handed over a paper of demands and recommendations from women to be taken into consideration in the ministry’ programmers, plans and procedures.

‘Towards effective Organized Community Participation that Ensures Improving the Services Reality’ project” aims to enhance the civic participation of Women in marginalized communities in Hebron Governorate for creating more engagement to make an impact in meeting gender needs .The project is implemented by ADWAR in collaboration with Catholic Relief Service- CRS and Family Health International-fhi360 and funded by the United Stated Agency for International development -USAID.
