Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) Completed " The Gender Issues" project .

In partnership with Nomada Polish origination and funding by Polish aid, ADWAR association implemented two training programs. The first training program targeted women only while the second program targeted both men and women. Both training program came within “The Social, Educational and cultural Mobile Center for development in marginalized areas in Msafir Yatta; South of Hebron.  
The first training program included eight training session about " gender" issues while the second program included six training sessions about men and women's perception in a gendered frame, women participation in the local society  and personal development skills in the local society.
 The second program was also about cooperation skills in the local society and projects' fulfillment skills. In addition to that, three educational journeys were achieved in Jericho, Ramallah and the old city in Hebron.
 The project activities targeted to develop the trainees' gender skills to enhance them to be active in their societies and develop the cooperation concept for both men and women.  
 The project took six months (June 2012- December 2012), The project's trainees were about 17 (8 males and 9 females) from Msafir Yatta areas which were Om El-Khair, Al-Mafkara, Soosia and Twania. The trainees' ages ranged between 19-27 years.
  All the trainees showed an initiative role in order to achieve the projects' activities successfully and used them beneficially.
 ADWAR had an evaluation workshop in order to evaluate the project's impacts on the trainees where they asserted that self-confidence and knowledge about equality between men and women was improved. In addition, they appreciated having teams' working skills, courage, audacity, opinions' expressions, responsibility and getting rid of the negative shyness.
  Also they emphasized on the new knowledge about how to get their rights, social participation and how to express their rights in front of men.
 Sahar AlKawasmeh, ADWAR general director, noted that “it is very important to focus on the problems which most of marginalized areas in Msafir Yatta suffer from as they affect “gender" relations".
 AlKawasmeh added    “the project helped women to create social connection and cooperated projects that enhance people voice in Msafir Yatta areas and tell the world about their suffering".
