Community Development Initiatives “We Are Capable- Qaderat”

Women Protection Committees and Men Allaience organized five community initiatives entitled “We Are Capable” namely: the Palestinian Popular wedding Initiative in Yatta, the Right of Clean Water in Khallet AlFurn/Bireen, the Safety and Security for Access to Kindergarten and Schools in Wadi Al-Husayn, and the community participation in the economic life in both Deir Al-Asal and Beit Marsam, where the initiatives aimed to highlight the role of the men’s alliance as a model for supportive and active men in supporting and advocating for less fortunate women, in addition to showing the role of women’s protection committees in community participation by improving their living conditions and well-being. The level of economic participation and bridging the gaps in poverty and unemployment rates among unemployed women and young women. These initiatives also promoted positive practices and behaviors in security and safety, and contributed to addressing the social and economic problems that women and young women suffer from in the targeted areas, and minimizing their impact on the family and the community as a whole. .
This activity comes within the framework of the CPCE Civil and Community Engagement Project, which is implemented by CRS Catholic Relief Services in partnership with the International Family Health Foundation fhi360 and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
