Roles Association Completes "Women Rights Are Human Rights"

Hebron— In partnership and cooperation with Women Center for Legal counseling, Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) implemented "women rights are human rights" workshop which targeted women from Hebron District and aimed to raise the trainees awareness about violence against women and violence that is based on gender and personal status and penal code.

At the end of the training, the trainees' awareness, about violence that is based on gender and embodied in the ideological and intellectual environment by active association like laws and legitimacy, is increased.

The training meets women needs and ambitions to change laws that do not bring justice to women and to take decisions that ends dissemination between men and women and achieve social justice as there the legal situation of women in Hebron district is unfair.

Soona Hneihen, social specialist in woman center, demands for more awareness about different topics that develop women knowledge.

Sahar Alkawasmeh, Roles general director, confirmed on the importance of the training as it focuses on barriers that women face to develop their reality as it basically depends on laws and legitimacy.

She noted also to the importance of project sustain to raise men awareness of violence against women especially those who work in unofficial field, in addition to effect decision makers to adopt the modified law by the national committee.
