Launching ADWAR Association Blog for Gender Issue Awareness (ADWAR Blog)

Roles for Social change Association ADWAR launched the project: ADWAR Association Blog for Gender Issue Awareness in partnership with the Francis Consulate. In which the first workshop took place with the presence of the head of board of directors Dr.Yousef Abu Maria and a number of participants in the project. The project aims at improving the capacity building for young women and men in using media blog skills to serve sensitive gender issue, changing the Palestine community culture about the traditional stereotyped roles of women, and creating job opportunities for young women in the media channels.

ADWAR’s general director Mrs.Sahar AlKawasmeh pointed out that the project will work on providing qualified trainees with cognition of media and gender issue to Palestinian media channels in Hebron governorate; and that it will contribute to change the stereotyped women’s roles, advocate women’s issues, and stand at their sides to raise conscious issues of gender. In addition to create job opportunities, and reduce the unemployment for marginalized young women
