On the occasion of the international month for violence elimination against women

On the occasion of the international month for violence elimination against women, ADWAR Association’s general director presented an awareness session that targeted social councilors and teachers at Soreef second elementary school for girls, which discussed gender based violence and violence practiced by Israeli forces on Palestinian women, in order to enable participants from opening up and expressing their stories on social, and political circumstances that causes violence, as well as gaining skills and mechanisms to help them accommodate to these circumstances in Palestinian Society.

For her part Sahar ALKawasmeh, ADWAR’s general director pointed that this session is contributing to building the capacities of the teaching staff which could lead to a positive change in their attitude as well as their day to day interaction with students and eliminate problems at school.
