Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) implemented five training workshops in the framework of the project “The Role of Youth’s (females and Males) in holding Officials Accountability”

Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) implemented five training workshops within the project “The Role of Youth’s (females and Males) in holding Officials Accountability” towards meeting gender needs, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS, within civic participation program CPP funded by the United States Agency of International Development USAID.
The workshops had been held in targeted places of the project (Yatta, Dura, Sammu’ , Umm AlKhair, Susia, Twana) in partnership with Municipalities and local councils of these areas. The workshops aimed to expanding and improve the Youth Body in monitoring and evaluation tools and officials’ accountability in different ministries (local governance, women’s affairs, education, health, transportation, labor, and public works)the training workshop, targeting 100 trainees (60 young women /40 young men)
ADWAR Association general director, Sahar Alkawasmeh pointed that the abilities of young men and women in understanding issues related to transparency, accountability and rights are increased; also, civic participation has been enhanced through discussing such issues. Furthermore, they have been enabled about gender issues through understanding of the most critical issues in Palestinian society. As well as increasing there awareness about interacting with officials.
As the Project Coordinator Soso Sabarna pointed that the Association is preparing for upcoming events of the project, including the pre report of targeted areas in addition to the opening day.
