ADWAR Association finishing the Last Phase of ”The Role of Youth’s (Males and females) in Holding Official’s Accountability”

Roles for Social change Association ADWAR has finished implementation of the last phase of the project entitled ”The Role of Youth’s (Males and females) in Holding Official’s Accountability” in areas located in the south of Hebron governorate ( Sosya , Twana , Um Al-khair , Al-samou’a , Doura , Yatta ) in partnership with the CRS funded by the USAD , the last phase included public meetings and television shows in cooperation with officials from the related ministries ( Ministry of local government , Health , Education , Public Works , Labor ) .

The meetings were hosted by the Vocational Training Center in Halhoul in partnership with Ministries and local councils of targeted areas, including Palestine General Federation of trade Unions with the presence of representatives from the Ministry of local government , Mr. Raed Al-Sharabati the general director of Hebron directorate and Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al-Jabarini Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Local Government and from the ministry of education Mr. Fawzi Abu Haliel the director of the education directorate in the south , Mr. Fawzi Ghareeb prime of buildings in the south education directorate . From the Ministry of Labor Mr. Nasser Kattami Undersecretary of the Labor Ministry and Ms. Jihan Dahnous general director of The Operating and Multi-Employment Services Office OSS , Mr. Ahmad A’aish the general director of the Vocational Training Center .
From the Ministry of Health Dr. Fawzi Raj’ey the director of Medical Affairs in Hebron governorate , from the Ministry of Public works Ms. Amani Abu Sneneh the director of Youth and Culture department and Ms. Safa’a Abu Sneneh the director of Gender department .

The television shows as well as the public meetings discussed the importance of the project and its desired outcomes in order to achieve it by the collective work and in collaboration with the related ministries, where the youth’s accountable body from Bedouins gatherings and villages in the south of Hebron expressed and argued their needs concerning improving the health care in their centers in which providing human resources as well as the needed medicine, tools and paving their roads. Furthermore, enhancing the transportations, schools and medical centers, in order to open ways for these gatherings and obtain projects along with more opportunities for the graduates. On the other hand, the participants expressed their hopes in considering their claims and needs more meaningfully and seriously.

The end of the television shows and the public meetings included many achievements that guarantees from the general director of the local government Mr. Raed Al-Sharabati to provide a budget of 200000$ concerning paving and enhancing their internal and external roads. Moreover , guarantees from the assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Local Government to start enhancing those roads as soon as possible , on an educational level there will be projects in the near future concerning building girls schools in these Bedouins gatherings specially after they got donation from the parents by a piece of land to build the school on it .
