Roles for Social Change Association- ADWAR finished implementing its 8th and last theatre performance of (24 Qirat)

Roles for Social Change Association- ADWAR finished implementing its 8th and last theatre performance of (24 Qirat) paly within the project entitled (Protect Women Legal Rights) that comes under ADWAR’s social program, which aims to decrease gender-based violence.
These eight theatre performances aimed to increase local community’s awareness about Family Courts services and procedures, as well to the importance of going to Family Courts and asking for legal rights. Also, they aimed to break barriers of going to Family Courts, staying away from Tribal system to guarantee women’s rights.
Moreover, the last theatre performance was implemented at Hebron Municipality Hole in the presence of ADWAR’s general director Sahar Alkawasemh, the field coordinator, Lina Wahsh, and the admin assistant, Shada Allan. Also, the head of Youth and Culture Department in Hebron Municipality, Amani Abu Snieneh, the general director of Hebron Municipality, Khaled Dudien, and Hebron Municipality’s staff, Ms. Bilal Mallah and number of Law and Human Science Department form Hebron University.
Yet, Alkawasmeh started the meeting by expressing the effort and role of Youth and Culture Department in working and developing the youth, she also thanked the role of Hebron University in supporting its students.
AS well, she emphasized men’s role in supporting women, since men and boys are not their words and slogans, but are their actions in protecting women legal rights. She expressed the importance of enhancing youth going to Family Courts, and that Family Courts are the most guaranteed in protecting the rights while Tribal system might not protect women’s rights in most cases. She also added protecting women rights assures a sound family and build a sound community.
In his speech, Dudien expressed the importance of getting out of that academic corner as he described it to knowing social life issues. He added, that women, culture and traditions issues have the most part of our cause, and we thank all associations for their work in protecting women from gender-based violence and achieving social justice.
During the meeting, the rap song that was introduced within the project was played to the audience. The meeting finished with the (24 Qirat play) and followed by critical questions and discussions by students and attendees.
