ADWAR, in partnership with Radio Marah, conducted the first open radio episode of the program “My Right” within the project “Protecting women’s legal rights”

Roles For Social Change Association-ADWAR, in partnership with Radio Marah, conducted the first open radio episode of the program “My Right” within the project “Protecting women’s legal rights” within its social program aimed at reducing gender-based violence. The episode aimed at raising awareness of the role of family courts in protecting women’s legal rights and their procedures to facilitate women’s access to courts.
The first episode dealt with the issue of marriage age among girls. In turn, the general director of ADWAR Dr. Sahar Al Qawasmi talked about the importance of the project in raising awareness regarding women’s legal rights. The legal adviser Alaa Maraqa addressed the issue legally.
The episode also reviewed social and psychological effects of early marriage and its results such as deprivation of education and opportunities; through the social counselor Jihan al-Fakhouri, who talked about many examples and issues that faced in the field of work
