Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR continues Implementing the dialogue sessions of the Accountability of decision makers by members of the Committee for the Protection of Women with the institutions of the government sector and the private sector within the framework of the project(( Towards Women who Lead Change in Priority Communities and Make a Difference in their Lives and the Lives of Others) which is funded by the Dutch government and in partnership with the local councils and media.
The meeting was attended by members of the Protection Committee of Musafir Bani Naim and influential men, as well as representatives of the partners who are Asma Zeidat, Chairperson of the Protection Committee of the traveler and the Mayor of Bani Naim, Ali Manasra and the staff working in addition to the representatives of the Ministry of Local Government, Izz al-Din al-Atawneh and the women of the local community of priority, in addition to ADWAR’s General Director Dr. Sahar Yousef Al Qawasmeh.
The dialogue session aimed to develope the mechanism of communication between members of the Committee for the Protection of Women and Decision-makers in the Palestinian government from the Ministry of Local Government and Bani Na’im Municipality in order to enhance the participation of women in the local community in addition to improving the reality of different services for women and their families
The most important outcome of the meeting was that the mayor listened to women and decided to grant a room for the members of the protection committee to practice its activities and work to meet the needs of women services through reducing the problem of water and sewage and waste disposal. Also, Atawneh representative of local government,Reviewing the most important needs of women for follow-up by the ministry and coordination with the various parties and put them on the priority of the Ministry’s plan to meet them in the future.
