Towards Women Leading Change in Priority Communities and Making a Difference in Their Lives and the Lives of Others

Roles for Social Change Association- ADWAR has finished the Capacity Building Program, part of the project “Towards Women Leading Change in Priority Communities and Making a Difference in Their Lives and the Lives of Others” in partnership with local councils and media agencies and funded by the Dutch government for the second year in row. The aim of this activity was to improve the knowledge and development of the skills of 103 Bedouin women in gender issues, accountability mechanisms and the concept of the initiative, as well as to improve their skills in accountability initiatives to develop and take care of their needs.
From Dr. Sahar Yousef Al-kawasmeh perspective she said that this training targeted 103 women in the Bedouin communities and that the most important results were the establishment of 6 women’s protection committees in the following locations: Bethlehem Governorate (Rawayeen, Rashaydeh, Jab Al-deeb).
Adding that this program was the beginning of the rehabilitation and training of women for the next phase of the project is to meet men influential and accountability of decision-makers.
