ADWAR association completed the activities of the second phase of the project (Towards Women Who Leads Change in the Priority Communities and Makes Difference in their Lives and the Lives of Others), where the dialogue sessions were organized with the influential men in these communities ( Al-Dyook Al-Fawqa, Al-Nuwaimah, Al-Fasail, Abziq, Al-Mitta, and Al-Maleh) in Jericho and Tubas.
These dialogue sessions aim to consolidate the relationship between members of the women’s protection committees in the Bedouin communities and the men who influence them by breaking the barrier between them, attracting the necessary to support women, listening to their demands and working to implement them.
These sessions result in identifying the most important issues and services that women in particular and the community in general lacks, as the recommendations centered on the need to highlight priority communities that suffer from a lack of basic services such as electricity, education, health, and transportation in addition to the urgent need to restore homes and tents for the difficulty of living Inside it, especially in the winter, because there are no roofs that protect its residents from rain
This project comes with funding from the Dutch government and in partnership with local councils, and other issues that exceed the population of those areas, especially women, from the difficulty of living in it and continuing to resist it.
For its part, the Director-General of the roles of Dr. Sahar Alkawasmeh that these dialogue sessions with influential men are among the most important stages of the project, which allow men to hear the needs of the community from the perspective of women, in preparation for the accountability of decision-makers in the next stage.
This project is funded by the Dutch government and in partnership with local councils.
