8th of March Ceremony in Al-Eizariya Governorate – Jerusalem

Today, Thursday 5/3/2020, ADWAR Association organized a celebration to honor the Women in Al-Eizariya Governorate in cooperation with Al-Eizariya Municipality and Al-Hamwi Educational Center, in honor of the eighth of March, under the slogan (We are legend , we don’t surrender).
In the presence of His Excellency Deputy Governor of the Jerusalem Governorate, Abdullah Siam, the head of Al-Eizariya Municipality, Mr. Issam Faroun, and the director of the Ministry of Prisoners, Mr. Hassan Abd Rabu, the general manager of the municipality’s social accountability committee Mr. Zakaria Abu Al-Rish and Al-Hamwi Educational Center, in addition to a remarkable and distinguished presence of our women in the Al-Eizariya governorate.
Noor Manasra lunched the ceremony welcomed the generous presence, and ensure the importance of women’s ,the challenges that they face daily bringing out some of their messages of the women.
For her part, the General director Dr. Sahar Yousef Alkawasmeh is a message to the women of Palestine in general and to the women of Jerusalem Governorate in particular, stressed that the secret of the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and survival is what women create from mechanisms, coping strategies and resilience that have strengthened our survival on this land.
Deputy Governor of the Jerusalem Governorate, Mr. Abdullah Asim, mentioned the word of steadfastness and support for all the women of the homeland, praising the gesture of the roles and efforts of ADWAR to reach the Jerusalem women and honor them In this International Day.
The Mayor Mr. Essam Faroun stressed the necessity of joining forces to reach women to the highest levels, especially with the great sacrifices they make.
In his part the representative of Al-Hamwi Center, Mr. Sahid Al-Mahareek, highlighted this wonderful gesture to honor the women of Jerusalem, and that the center is always a nucleus for success stories of women and girls.
Mrs. Marwa Abu Al-Reesh presented her success story starting with highlighting her social and political suffering and how she overcame it.
Also included in the celebration was a poetic passage from the creative Basil Al-Ubaidi
At the end of the celebration, the women wrote messages to the Palestinian people and the international world to work hard to support women and their desire to cooperate with any party to reach a place worthy of them.
Finally, women were honored by offering modest gifts in appreciation of their distinguished role in serving their community.
