ADWAR Association has completed the psychological and social support Program , which is a part of the project activities (Strengthening the Role of Women Protection Committee as advocates of peace and security in Priorities communities in Hebron through response to the Humanitarian Needs and Prevent Conflict) , in partnership with women protection committees and local council , funded by the United Nations Gender Equality the Empowerment of Women – Women’s Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Action (WPHF).
The program aimed to empower women protection committees, activate their participation and plan effectively to respond in humanitarian crises, in order to ensure that the special needs of women and girls in crisis and post-crisis situations are met in addition to protecting less fortunate women and girls.
The program targeted women and girls in (Masafer Bani Naem, Al-Mofakara, Masafer Yatta, and the Old City) where women’s committees will distribute food parcels and sterilization bags to women and girls in the targeted communities.
Where the training program accompanied the implementation of humanitarian initiatives by distributing food parcels and sterilization bags to women and girls in targeted groups, which had an impact Enhancing the role of the Women Protection Committees in maintaining peace and security in crisis, activating their community and community-based and protecting the rights of less fortunate women and girls.
