On Saturday, 9/19/2020, Women Protection Committee in Al-Malih Bedouin community in Tubas implemented a ceremony entitled “Livelihood Economy Initiative for the Dairy Industry”, after the private sector responded by holding an accountability meeting to highlight the need for women to provide rooms that contain machines and equipment such as Churns refrigerators, ovens and gas cylinders, in order to produce greater quantities of dairy products, so that they have a source of income from the sale of dairy products, in addition to reducing the burdens that fall on the shoulders of women.
Noor Manasrah the project coordinator,, confirmed that the role of the Women Protection Committee in the Malih Community was effective and distinct throughout the project period, and that she must continue to pressure the decision-makers to implement other needs.
This initiative comes within the activities of the project (Towards Women Leading Change in Priority Communities and Make a Difference in Their Lives and the Lives of Others) in partnership with local councils in Jericho and Tubas and funded by Netherlands government.
