ADWAR ends the election process for the Unified Bedouin Women Council

Hebron – In honor of the Anti-Violence Against Women Week, ADWAR Association, Today Thrsday 26/11/2020 in partnership with SIDREH in Negev, continued the activities of the launching conference for the Unified Bedouin Women Council in Hebron.

The conference ended the process of electing members of the Unified Bedouin Women Council, which aims to raise the voice of Bedouin women and represent them before decision-makers in order to fulfill their needs for services.

The participating women protection committees emphasized the great impact that the project had on the level of exchanging experiences and breaking women’s barriers in raising their voices and demanding their rights.

This conference comes within the activities of the Our Path for Prosper Future project, funded by the European Union, which aims to empower women’s protection committees in Bedouin communities in the West Bank and the Negev, and to strengthen dialogue and accountability mechanisms by these committees to improve the reality of services and enhance access mechanisms to gender-sensitive services.
