Women and young women in an expanded city meeting in Hebron

In honor of the eighth of March, ADWAR Association in partnership with the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability “AMAN”, inaugurated today Wednesday 9/3/2020 an expanded city meeting with decision makers within an initiative entitled The role of women in Hebron Governorate in reducing the effects of corruption on women and promoting The values of integrity and transparency, in the presence of the Labor Directorate in Hebron Governorate represented by Director Mr. Muhammad Shalaldah ,Mr. Badi’ Dweik, Mrs. Nadia Alqam and Mrs. Sabreen Al-Rifai, the Ministry of National Economy represented by Eng. Muhib Al-Jabari, Mr. Majed Abu Sharekh from the South Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Haitham Mereb represented the North Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mrs. Hadeel Al-Awiwi from Hebron Governorate Governor’s office, and a large crowd of women and young women from Hebron Governorate.
This meeting aim to present the issues and suffering of women and young women from nepotism, corruption and dereliction of duty in order to provide services and how it affects them in different respects, and to hold responsible and relevant authorities accountable for their role in limiting these outstanding problems and activating the necessary measures to avoid them in the future.
Where the General Director of ADWAR D. Sahar AlKawasmeh spoke about the importance of this initiative, through which the impact of corruption on women in the field of public and human rights services will be highlighted, as they constitute the largest percentage of violations of their rights, as a result of the lack of economic, social and human rights services.
Then, the decision-makers and representatives of government agencies highlighted their role in supporting women and combating all discriminatory practices against them, whether in supporting individual economic projects or the extent to which systems are characterized by integrity and transparency in employment and encouraging them to continue to communicate with institutions concerned with women’s labor rights and to be informed, on its measures that achieve social justice.
Issues and problems have also been raised , whether individual or collective, that the participants suffer from, and how to solve them in cooperation with the relevant institutions, were raised and recommendations were taken to intensify the effort to expedite the provision and improvement of services provided to women and work to reduce corruption and its effects, whether in favoritism, nepotism, or other forms of corruption.
