Accountability meetings with decision makers

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR opened the first phase of the project Towards Women who Lead Change in Priority Communities and Make a Difference in their Lives and the Lives of Others. Funded by the Dutch government and in partnership with local councils, Where ADWAR held the first sessions of accountability with the decision-makers with the presence ADWAR represented by the project coordinator Noor Manasra, and Shaima Bader represented by the Federation of Agricultural Work Committees, the Chairperson and members of the Committee for the Protection of Women and women in general from the assembly.
In the beginning, Noor Manasra thanked the Union of Agricultural Action Committees for its response to the cooperation and then she identified of the project and its activities. The goal of this event is to link the women of priority areas and decision-makers to listen to their demands. In her role, Shaima Badr presented in the Federation of Agricultural Work Committees a definition of the nature of the work of the Federation and the services it provides especially to priority areas that suffer from lack of services of all kinds. The women presented many needs, highlighting the lack of agricultural resources available in the area from Braabesh, especially for irrigating crops and nets to protect the cultivation of wild animals, in addition to the lack of experience of women in the right ways of farming and that they need training from specialists or an agricultural sector regarding the quality of crops Suitable for each agricultural season and the quality of good compost which helps in the success of agriculture. As a result of the accountability session, the representative of the Federation of Agricultural Work Committees stated that she is fully prepared to work to provide women’s demands and help them to meet their needs.
