Training session entitled

(Evaluation of compliance with the Gender Charter in local parties)
The Gender Forum in Local Government held an individual training session for members of the Beit Ummar Municipality under the title (Evaluation of the Performance of the Gender Commitment in Local Authorities).
In the presence of ADWAR’s General Director Dr.Sahar Alkawasmeh and Noor Manasra the activities coordinator, Advisor to Miftah organization Rasha Saladin, Mayor of Beit Ummar, Maher Akhil, members of the Municipality and Women’s Protection Committee at the Badawi Jala Gathering.
Alkawasmeh presented a definition of the forum and its role in the development of local government and the role of women in local bodies. The themes of the Gender Charter in Local Governance and the extent to which Beit Ummar Municipality was committed to the evaluation axes of the Gender Charter.
At the end of the training, the observations of the members of the municipality and the extent of their interest in gender issues were taken into account. The evaluation axes and items were modified to suit the work of the local bodies.
