Grassroots Community Campaign to reduce Gender-Based violence

On Saturday 15/10/2022 ADWAR Association launched an activity within the community campaign to reduce gender-based violence in Banana Land Park in Jericho, honoring the Rural Women’s Day with the participation of women and young women from Bani Naim, as this campaign aims to strengthen the relationship among family members, and raising awareness about the importance of Palestinian government accountability on its role in improving social services in order to reduce gender-based violence.
The activity included several interactive paragraphs and a theatrical performance implemented by Enad Theatre, in which he emphasized the need to strengthen family relations and to enhance the participation of women and young women in Palestine to hold decision makers into accountable to improve services to reduce gender-based violence.
The activity was concluded with an open discussion with the audience about the theatrical performance and recommendations for the need to implement more of these activities, which in turn strengthen the bonds of family relations, in addition to the importance of the role of the Men’s Alliance to support and advocate for women’s rights to reduce gender-based issues.
This event comes within the project “We Men Are Your Allies 2” in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund and in partnership with the Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association through the Joint Life Program funded by the Government of Canada.
