ADWAR Association in partnership with the Gender Forum in Local Government, implemented a knowledge-building session for men in Abu Dis on Tuesday, 6/12/2022 The sessions aimed to raise the awareness of the men’s coalition members on how to defend and support women’s equal rights in political participation, gender issues, and advocacy tools. This came within the project “We men are your allies in influencing and defending women’s rights”, which aims to recruit men and youth and changing their attitudes towards supporting Palestinian women in political participation in local governance, as one force through the formation of a men’s coalition that supports women’s participation in order to influence other men at the grassroots level and active local leadership, And raising public awareness about the importance of women’s participation in decision-making positions in local government by creating a state of public awareness at the grassroots level of local leaders and the need to consider them an essential and effective part of decision-making, as this project is implemented with direct support from the Canadian Feminist Fund
