“My environment is more beautiful”

On Tuesday, 28/2/2023, the Women’s Protection Committee members in Deir al-Assal implemented a community initiative entitled “My Environment is Beautiful”, which aimed to increase the local community awareness about the importance of maintaining public hygiene and enhancing the capabilities of the members of the Women’s Protection Committee in the field of bringing about change at the community level. Community and civic participation, in addition to contributing to providing a clean and healthy environment for the local community, and preserving the general appearance of the community

Where the members, with the participation of men, boys and girls of Deir al-Assal, distributed garbage containers on the streets of the community and between the lanes and houses and planted various trees between olives, citrus and ornamental trees. For a sustainable and cumulative work that will increase with time, by assigning it to the region people.

This initiative comes within the framework of the project “Towards an organized and effective community participation that ensures improving the reality of services”, which is implemented by ADWAR Association in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS and the International Family Health Foundation Fhi360 and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
