ADWAR finished the first phase of the project :”Supporting gender equality regarding access to education in the south Hebron hill”

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR finished the first phase of the project :”Supporting gender equality regarding access to education in the south Hebron hill” funded by the SForeign and Commonwealth Office of UK government in partnership with education directorate of South Hebron (Yatta), Yatta Municipality, HIRN, ACF, World Vision, in addition to the French organization (Citoyen Des Rues).
The awareness workshops aimed at awareness of mothers towards the importance of education and maintain sustainability in education for girls in spite of hard social and political conditions in C areas. also, as a human right guaranteed by all international and Palestinian laws, in order to contribute in redeeming gender gaps of reaching education according to high ratio of inflation.

Workshops targeted mothers and different groups from Zeef area south east of Yatta south Hebron.

Sahar AlKawasmeh ADWAR’s general director pointed out that the most important results for these workshops are coming out with mechanisms of joint action among parents and teachers, in order to encourage girl students whom interested and commitment to school of continuing till high school. On the other hand, girls who drop out of school had to be motivated to go back to school especially after providing caravan school which will allow them to practice their educational extracurricular activities and continue high school.
