The dialogue meeting with an official had been implemented by ADWAR Association within the project (Initializing Palestinian Bedouin Communities of Hebron Governorate to Endorse Women in political participation High Decision Making Positions). The project is a part of Women empowerment in decision making positions program implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in partnership with Ministry of Local Government and Ministry of Women Affairs and non-governmental organizations and CBO’s in Bedouin and C areas.in which the first dialogue with an official targeting women of Khashm AlDaraj Bedouin community.
Women and men of Khashm AlDaraj Bedouin community attended the meeting in addition to civil organizations from Hebron governorate such as NGOs Union represented by Mrs.Basma Ja’bary, Bent AlReef Development Cooperative represented by Mrs.Fatima Abu Katta, Traffic supervisor of Hebron Mr.Mohannad Alsharif, and Traffic supervisor of Yatta Mr. AbdalRahman Tarada, as well as Mr.Rasheed Awad the representative of directorate of local government in Hebron.

Khashm AlDaraj local council head Mr.Ibrahim AlHathalin started the opening in which he welcomed the attendees and confirmed his commitment to support women needs and improving gender based services. Furthermore, ADWAR general director Sahar AlKawasmeh illustrated the dialogue session aim which is to support and encourage women to raise their voices, needs and interest in front of decision makers and local council, as well as obstacles they face in obtaining job opportunities in the education stream.

The ministry of Local government deputy Mr.Mohammad Hasan AlJabareen presented his speech confirming on the ministry’s commitment to meet those Bedouin communities needs and merge them into the ministry’s strategic plan for 2016-2018 , as well as developing roads, kindergartens, and water tanks.

The representative of ministry of transportation Mr.Musa Rahhal brought the traffic supervisors of Hebron and Yatta directorates of transportation in order to hear the community needs. He also asked the busses union to support the area with a new bus line that is approved by the ministry in order to eliminate all obstacles that prevent transportation services.

Finally, the session came out with several results in which a  meeting with ministry of transportation will be held to proceed with practical solutions for the transportation issue, in addition to follow up with ministry of local government to meet the Bedouin communities’ demands.
