ADWAR Association and Zimam Palestine continues implementing awareness seminars entitled (The Role of Women in Rejecting Violence Culture in Palestinian Society)
ADWAR Association and Zimam Palestine continues implementing awareness seminars entitled (The Role of Women in Rejecting Violence Culture in Palestinian Society) in cooperation with the Political Palestinian delegate of Hebron represented by Mr.Ismael Ghannam , and with the presence of Mr.Musa Abu Sabha the political activist ,ADWAR’s general director Sahar AlKawasmeh, and several men and women from Jericho province.
Mrs.Sahar AlKawasmeh started the seminar with an illustration about Palestinian women role in rejecting extremism culture within family and society and she confirmed the importance of protection for Palestinian families under such political and social changing conditions in the Arab world as well as the importance of women’s role in building the national Palestinian culture.
The Political Palestinian delegate Mr.Ismael Ghannam pointed to the internal Palestinian situation in terms of increased violence, and the importance of shedding light on such issues in media.
As Mr.Ismael Abu Sabha shed light on the effect of extremism on women along with the common political situations, as there should be internal culture to educate children in schools and kindergartens. He also pointed to the importance of media support to contribute in awareness towards decreasing violence culture and defeating extremism
The most important outcomes of the seminar were: the necessity to work on enhancing women’s’ role in rejection of extreme culture and mental extremism within the family and society, that is through implementing several field activities to enhance such values as well as organizing an open dialogue sessions in schools.
