Roles for Social Change Association –ADWAR started implementing the first phase of the project Empowering Bedouin women in decision-making and accountability within local Bedouin counsels

Roles for Social Change Association –ADWAR started implementing the first phase of the project (Empowering Bedouin women in decision-making and accountability within local Bedouin counsels, the ministry of local government, ministry of women affairs, the General Union of Palestinian women-GUPW, Central Election Commission CEC and Maa’n T.V ).
The training program started with the first day in AlZweideen Bedouin community with the presence of several Bedouin women. It aimed at the capacity building of those women regarding good governance, accountabilities’ values and practices in C marginalized Bedouin areas as well as gender issues, in order to fulfill women needs and improve services reality. It also will enhance Bedouin women’s political participation within accountability campaigns and awareness of the Palestinian community especially Bedouin community about the non-traditional roles of women within reaching nontraditional positions in local councils.
AlKawasmeh, ADWAR’s general director pointed out that this phase is an essential part of the project in order to initialize strong qualified women to participate in project activities and represent women within formal institutions of Palestinian authority.
