Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR, Association of women Committees for social work and Palestine TV organized a TV show at UGU in Hebron governorate entitled “political participation in local elections”, In partnership with Palestinian Working Women Society for Development, Women’s Affairs Technical Committee, Central Elections Committee, The United Nations of women, Raya FM, Nisaa’ FM, 24 FM and a number of local media institutions in Hebron, As part of the media campaign (Ana wa enta watan wahed), within the project “Support and enhance women’s political participation” funded by the Norwegian aid.
The show was presented by the TV presenter Lana Alsakka in which hosted ADWAR’s General Director Sahar Yousef Alkawasmeh, the elections specialist Dr. Taleb Awad, as well as the representatives of women’s associations and activists in society including youth.
The episode aimed to emphasize the importance of women’s political participation in local elections and the most importance challenges and obstacles they face, In addition to the awareness of Palestinian society about the importance of Palestinian women’s political role within local authorities in different provinces, villages, camps and gatherings of Palestine.
