Roles for Social Change Association in partnership with the Coalition for Accountability and Integrity (AMAN) held a meeting, in presence of: ADWAR’s general director -Sahar Yousef AlKawasmeh-, ADWAR’s Administrative Officer , in addition to the Dean of Student Affairs at Palestine Technical College –Aroob – Mr.Issa Alamleh, as well as young women and men from the College, as part of the project ( Raising awareness and developing capacities of Palestinian young women and men).
This meeting started by AlKawasmeh whom stressed on the importance of activating the role of Palestinian young women and men in the community accountability, especially in the rights relating to get the suitable job and recruitment procedures exercise by Palestinian institutions, especially Governmental ones. Also stressed on the importance of intensifying the role of Palestinian young women and men in practice of community accountability, due to concern on some general topics that may not benefit them.
Mr. Issa also pointed to ADWAR and stressed on its big roles that reflected in Hebron particularly and Palestine in general, and the importance of this meeting because of its interests for the students related to get a suitable job and recruitment procedures. After a theater performance by group of young women and men, highlighting on the suffering of young women and men to obtain jobs fit their specialties and how nepotism and favoritism effect that.
At the end the attendance put up many of recommendations was the most important are: Continue the work on the accountability issue, targeting more young women in Palestinian universities, highlight and activate the role of the media, in addition to the accountability of universities and the Ministry of Higher Education About their role to provide new specializations fit with the renewable market needs.
