Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR participated in Hayat project launch.
Dr. Haifa Al Agha, Minister of Women’s Affairs and Government of Canada, launched the project “Hayat”: Elimination of violence against women in West Bank and Gaza Strip (2018-2022), in partnership with four UN agencies: UN Women, United Nations Population Fund, United Nations Human Settlements Programme, and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime; at Mahmoud Darwish Museum, Ramallah, in the presence of government agencies, civil society and international organizations, diplomatic missions and partner institutions.
Al-Agha added that Palestinian women achieved successes and changes over the past years that we are proud of. This project achievement comes as a result of effort and work of all parties without exception. It’s one of feminist movement joint work achievement within Palestinian society, which works to identify the strategic priorities and mechanisms necessary to work hard to reduce violence against women and its spread.
