Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR ended holding dialogue sessions with decision-makers within the project (Palestinian Environmental Protection Program, funded by the GEF / UNDP Small Grants Program; and in partnership with the Environmental Quality Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, Tarqumiya Municipality, Beit Kahl Municipality, Tarqumiya Women’s Club and Union of Cooperative Associations for Saving and Credit (UCASC) in Beit Kahl.
Non governmental and private sectors Representatives from Agriculture Ministry, Environmental Quality Authority, Commerce and Industry of North Hebron Chamber, and Go Green Youth Foundation participated in the dialogue sessions in the presence of Councils of Environment Protectors members and women generally in Tarqumiya and Beit Kahil.
The sessions aimed at providing boards of environmental protectors members and women with the accountability of decision-makers regarding the importance of implementing policies and laws approved by the Palestinian government in order to protect Wadi Al Quf reserve, and joint action to reduce the waste it faces.
The sessions have many results, the most important of which is necessity of working on providing tools and equipment such as guidance and garbage containers, as well as having environmental pathways that contribute to raise all Hebron segments’ awareness.
