Bedouin Al-Khan Al-Ahmar Gathering In the presence of various effective women, Role for Social Change Association- ADWAR ended the fifth accountability session to question decision-makers by Protection Committee members with Ministry of Agriculture and Local Government Directorate.

This activity comes within the project “Towards Women Leading Change in Priority Societies and Making Change in Their Lives and the Lives of Others”, funded by Dutch Government; In partnership with the local Bedouin Councils in Hebron and East Jerusalem. This session was attended by Protection Committee and women in general in the Bedouin Community, and the project coordinator Duaa al-Jamal and Head of Development Department at Ministry of Agriculture , Mrs. Nabihah Sulaiman, , and representative of local government director, Sajida Ziadat.
Women presented many needs where their most important requirements were to provide decent living conditions where the region lacks most important living needs of water, electricity, health, education and transportation and livestock fodder and how to work on fulfilling their needs. Al-Jamal as a representative of ADWAR Association indicated that their needs will be taken in consideration and that they will provide aid as much as possible. While Ziadat promised to convey the region’s needs and conditions to the Minister of Local Government and letting him know more about the conditions habitants live and asking him to visit the region and to get a close look at situation in this region to work on fulfilling their needs. As Sulaiman asked them to go to Ministry of Agriculture in December to receive seedlings, and promised to inform Minister at situation in this region.
At the end of this session, ladies expressed their thankfulness for ADWAR and asked for holding more workshops and sessions due to their importance in empowering them and raising their steadfastness, especially in such marginalized areas.
