In partnership with the Education Directorate-Bethlehem Governorate, Roles for Social Change Association ADWAR held Social counseling session for psychological and social support for the Abu Obaida elementary school students in the presence of the administrative deputy. Bassam Jabr, Head of Media Relations and Gender Coordinator Kholoud Dras, the principal of the school Sawsan Al-Lahham, the students of the school in addition to the staff of ADWAR represented by the General Director Dr. Sahar Yousef alkawasmah and social counselor Jihan al-Fakhouri.
The session aimed to provide psycho social support to the school’s students and to provide them with opportunities to express their feelings for self-esteem and enhance self-confidence, as well as encouraging them to continue education as a human right.
This event comes within the framework of the Social Program, which aims at empower girls, enhance their social participation and reduce gender-based violence.
For her part, Dr. Sahar Yousef Alkawasmah highlighted that this event is considered as one of the most important activities targeting girls in the eighth and ninth grades, because it is important to empower girls individually and transform the collective empowerment, in order to contribute to the work of community initiatives that build the future leadership.
