Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR opened the first phase of the project “Towards Women Who Make Change and Make a Difference in Their Lives and the Lives of Others”, funded by the Dutch government and in partnership with local councils.
With the presence of Dr.Sahar Alkawasmeh General Director and The project coordinator Noor Manasra, Mr. Rateb Abu al-Muhaimed, head of the local council of Beit Ta’mir, the committee of women’s protection in Jib al-Zayyib, the committee’s chairman, Mrs. Fadia al-Wahsh, as well as influential men in the region and her sheikhs.
Dr. Sahar initially defined the project and the goal of this activity, which is to strengthen the relationship between the women of Jeb al-Zayyib and the influential men by breaking the barrier between them, attracting support and support for women, listening to their demands and implementing them.
In her role, Ms. Fadia Al-Beoush, Chairperson of the Women’s Protection Committee in Jib Al-Zayyab, expressed her gratitude for the role played by ADWAR for its activities to serve the region. She then spoke about the problems and obstacles faced by women in Jib al-Zayyab. In order to raise the supportive culture of women in local communities.
For his part, Mr. Rateb listened to the demands of women and promised to participate in the upcoming accountability sessions and pressure and influence and bring funding to meet those needs.
