The Gender Forum in Local Government

The Gender Forum in Local Government held its first monthly meeting for 2020 at the headquarters of the Palestinian Working Women Society for Development in the presence of institutions, members.
The meeting mainly discussed ways to pressure policymakers in light of the amendments to the local elections law and the mechanisms for planning and working during the year 2020 regarding issues of local government and the active participation of women and youth. Talks were also talked about the preparations for the upcoming local elections, which are supposed to be held next year, in addition to the accumulation of efforts initiated by the forum to develop a mechanism related to complaints of councilors and the extent to which local bodies implement gender-sensitive measures.
