The Fifth Public Meeting in Hebron

ADWAR Association continues implementing activities of third phase in the project: “Women advocate against the concept of (Divorced) and their isolation from civic life” which are public meetings in Partnership with Middle East Partnership Initiative MEPI and funded by American Consulate.
Public meetings are being implemented in Palestinian Universities of all governorates (Hebron , Jericho, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Tubas, Salfeet) aiming at awareness of young women and men in Palestinian society and in universities in particular towards changing negative stereotypes image for women who have been through divorce experience ‘after or before marriage’, as well as confirming their rights to participate in civic life and limit all types of discrimination against them.

The fifth public meeting has been implemented in cooperation with (Nahdat Bent ElReef ) Association in Deir Samet/Hebron city, in which coordinated with ADWAR to implement the public meeting. As Mrs.Sara AlAwawdeh head of the association pointed to the importance of the project in our Palestinian community and top the importance of targeting young women and men to change for a better society that ensures social justice for both women and men.
As for her part ADWAR’s general director Sahar AlKawasmeh pointed that those public meetings targeted young women and men in order to play an active positive role in changing common culture and bring justice to women who have been through this experience.
